A good book is bound by either:
Saddle stitched -wiring it through the middle with staples.
Perfect Bound - a way of adhesive binding multi-sections. Individual sections are collected together and the spine is roughed up with a type of machine saw to help it absorb the hot glue. Glue is then applied to the spine and a cover pulled on before the product is trimmed to size.
Pur Binding - same process as perfect binding, but use a synthetic adhesive (Polyurethane React) rather than conventional glue. Offers greater flexibility and longevity of the finished product.
Wire O Binding - a continuous double series of wire loops run through punched slots along the binding side of a booklet
